SBR demand, production soars in China
ERJ staff report (RD)
Houston, China -- SBR demand grew 21.4 percent in China last year, to 1.1 million metric tons, according to a new study issued jointly by the International Institute of Synthetic Rubber Producers and the China National Chemical Information Center.
The report, prepared by the CNCIC, said SBR capacity in China stood at 1 million tons, and is expected to grow another 600 000 tons within the next decade.
The information is disclosed in the Elastomer Bulletin 3, issued by the two organisations. The 13-page study also includes supply, demand, import and export data as well as future expansion projects in China, the IISRP said.
