Fendt awards highest rating to Czech tyre supplier

Prague - Agricultural machine manufacturer Fendt has awarded its highest supplier rating to CGS Tyres for deliveries from January to December 2010.
CGS Tyres' brand, Continental, is mounted to the Fendt 200 Vario-900 Vario tractor series. AGCO, who own Fendt, evaluate its suppliers quality, logistics, customer service and protection of the environment, in all of which CGS Tyres received the highest grade.
In quality, a rating of A means that 99.9 percent or more of delivered unites were without fault. CGS Tyres has received the A award annually since 1999, it said in a 20 Jan statement.
“Our core business is agricultural and industrial tyres,†said Andrew Mabin, sales and marketing director of CGS Tyres. “The original equipment manufacturers always provide challenging benchmarks for a tyre producer.
CGS Tyres has also announced expansion in France with Copadex being the exclusive distributor of CGS produced Continental agricultural tyres as of 15 Jan 2011.
The company manufacturers and sells tyres under three brand names: CGS's own Mitas and Cultor, and Continental under licence. It operates three production plants in the Czech Republic and one in Serbia.
