BST to build S-SBR plant in Thailand

Bangkok, Thailand -- Bangkok Synthetics Co., Ltd. and JSR Corporation have signed a Letter of Intent to establish a Joint-venture (with 49% by BST and 51% by JSR) and to build a first S-SBR Plant (Solution Polymerised Styrene-Butadiene Rubber) in Map Ta Phut, Thailand. The capacity of the new plant will be 50,000 to 100,000 tons per year, and is scheduled to start operation in June 2013.
JSR will provide the technology licence of the high performance S-SBR to the Joint-venture and BST will supply a crucial raw material.
