Conti raises car tyre prices in Europe

Hanover, Germany - Continental AG will be increasing the prices for all passenger and light truck tyres in the European replacement market. The planned price increase is between 8 percent to 10 percent for winter tyres, and between 5 percent to 8 percent for summer tyres, and affects all passenger and light truck tyre brands belonging to Europe's market leader. It will be effective from 1 May 2011.
The company said increased raw materials costs were to blame.
