DuPont increases offer to Danisco Shareholders
ERJ staff report (DS)
Copenhagen -- DuPont has raised its offer to Danisco shareholders, and extended the offer period to 13 May. Danisco is the parent of Genencor, which makes bio-isoprene with Goodyear.
"These terms represent our best and final offer," said DuPont Chair and CEO, Ellen KUllman in a letter to Danisco shareholders.
She added that DuPont will withdraw its offer to Danisco shareholders if 80 percent of them do not agree to sell by the deadline. Danisco management advised acceptance of the offer.
The offer document is on restricted circulation, especially in certain regions of the world
