More EU drivers willing to buy tyres online - Delticom

Hanover, Germany - According to a survey carried out on behalf of online tyre retailer Delticom, more and more drivers in Germany, France, Great Britain, Italy, and Spain are indicating their willingness to purchase tyres on the web. The survey included more than 5000 potential tyre buyers between the ages of 18 to 65 years.
In France, 74 percent of those questioned indicated their defined intention to purchase tyres on the web in the future, Delticom said in the report “Tyres Online 2011â€. Not only younger drivers, but also an increasing number of drivers in the age group of 40 to 65 year olds are open-minded when it comes to purchasing tyres online. In the latter age group, 71 percent of men indicated their interest in purchasing tyres on the web, while 87 percent of drivers between the age of 18-39 said the same.
In Great Britain, 47 percent of those polled showed their willingness to purchase tyres on the web. Insofar as online tyre purchasing is concerned, German drivers take 3rd place: 40 percent of those surveyed were willing to purchase their tyres on the web, Delticom said in a 19 May statement. In Italy and Spain, approximately 18 percent have a positive approach to purchasing tyres on the web.
The report noted that drivers in all countries are similarly convinced about the benefits of purchasing tyres on the web. Low prices take the 1st place in France (93 percent), Germany (93 percent), Great Britain (47 percent), and Italy (34 percent).
