Trelleborg divests gas spring unit

Clermont-Ferrand, France -- Trelleborg has signed an agreement and finalised the divestment of its gas spring operation. The operation is located in France and is part of the Trelleborg Automotive business area. The buyer is the French company Defta S.A. The divestment is a step in Trelleborg Group's strategy of focusing on selected segments.
Gas springs are used to lift, open, close and adjust doors, windows and seating and are commonly found in automotive, agricultural and industrial applications.
The divested operation has annual sales of approximately SEK 110 M and about 110 employees. The purchase consideration is approximately SEK 60 M.
