Lanxess execs visit CRIA to talk rolling resistance
ERJ staff report (DS)
Beijing -- A delegation from Lanxess visited the China Rubber Industry Association (CRIA) yesterday (12 October). The delegation, led by Martin Kraemer, president of Lanxess China, discussed options for developing a low-carbon economy in China. The welcoming party from CRIA was led by Fan Rende, president of the CRIA.
Kraemer told the CRIA that rubber represents 50 percent of Lanxess business volume, and of this around half is used in the tyre industry. He highlighted the value of Lanxess materials in making low-rolling resistance tyres, and referred to the worldwide treend toward tyre labelling.
He said Lanxess intends to hold a green rubber day on 2 December in Beijing to emphasise the benefits of Lanxess products in this context to government, journalists and businesses.
Fan Rende said China considers the use of tyre labels to be very important and encouraged Lanxess to continue with its promotion of fuel-saving materials and technologies
