Freudenberg opens factory, mixing room in Berlin for automotive components

Aldershof, Berlin -- Freudenberg Sealing Technologies (FST) has opened a new euro 20 million factory for special sealing products in Berlin Adlershof. Staff and production will be relocated to the new facility from Berlin Friedrichshain.
The company has also built a new rubber mixing facility in Adlershof, with annual capacity for 1,000 tonnes. The new building has a footprint of about 12,800 square meters, of which 11,000 square meters are reserved for production. Space for further expansion is also available.
Today, approximately 200 members of staff manufacture a range of products including axle boots made of thermoplastic elastomers for drive shafts in cars and machinery as well as sealing bellows for use in chassis and steering mechanisms.
