Indian Rubber Board to hold REACH training
ERJ staff report (DS)
Kottayam, India - The Rubber Training Institute, Rubber Board and the Indian Rubber Institute jointly organize a one day training programme on 'REACH regulations' and its interpretations at Cochin University of Science and Technology (CUSAT), Kochi on 17 February 2012.
REACH is the new European Community Regulation on chemicals and their safe use and it deals with the Registration, Evaluation, Authorization and Restriction of Chemical substances. This regulation gives greater responsibility to product manufacturing industries to manage the risk from chemicals and to provide safety information on the substances used. The programme will be useful for manufacturers/exporters of rubber products/chemicals who focus on trade in the European market.
