ERJ staff report (DS)
Beijing - Yiyang Rubber & Plastics Machinery Group Co., Ltd. is reportedly building a flat curing press which is 2.7m wide and 16.4m long. This is one of six large-size flat curing presses sold between January and March 2012. Such presses are typically used to make conveyor belts.
The company has reportedly bought a Ssangyong 22m-long numerically-controlled boring machine - the first such machine in China - to make the presses.
On the path to making a 2.7m wide unit, Yiyang has built a press 16.6m long by 1.8m wide.
