Daqing, China - Daqing Petrochemical has added a 80kt/year BR factory as part of its 1.2 million tonne ethylene expansion project. The company said on 5 August that the butadiene unit is now successfully on stream.
The unit doubles capacity at the Daqing plant. Daqing's parent, CNPC said the expansino to 160 kt makes it the largest butadiene rubber production base in China.
