Sameer sees sales, profits rise In first half

Nairobi, Kenya - East African tyre maker Sameer Africa Ltd said its unaudited sales and profits for the six months to 30 June increased.
The company said sales increased to just under 2068 million Kenyan shillings (euro 19.7 million) from 1790 million a year earlier. Gross profit rose to KES 451 million from KES 438 million a year earlier.
The company said the outlook is favourable as the cost of raw materials has stabilised, while the local currency has remained firm against the US Dollar
