India's NR, SR output grew in July

Kottayam, India - India's production of natural rubber (NR) rose 5.8 percent year on year to 68,000 tonne during July 2012. Production of synthetic rubber in the same period grew to 9871 tonnes from 8929 tonnes a year previously.
The country consumed 85,710 tonne
of NR during July 2012, up 2.1 percent from
a month ago. The total quantity
consumed during April to July 2012
rose 3.9 percent to 337,080 tonne from
324,425 tonne consumed during the
same period a year ago.
The consumption of SR registered
a marginal dip in July 2012 to
38,685 tonne from the quantity of
38,725 tonne consumed during June
2012. However, the total amount
consumed during April to July 2012
rose 3.6 percent on year to 151,140 tonne.
