MRF reports lower profits on Increased sales for full year

Chennai, India -- Indian tyre maker MRF Ltd has reported Its results for the full year and the quarter ended 30 September 2012.
The company said three-month sales amounted to Rs 29.9 billion and 12-month sales amounted to 118.7 billion (euro 1673 million), compared with Rs 97.432 billion a year earlier.
Profit (EBIT) for the 12-month period amounted to Rs 8330 million compared with Rs 11,412 million a year earlier
MRF said the decline in profits in the fourth quarter was due to currency effects and higher energy costs.
