Bridgestone augments motorbike tire range
ERJ staff report (BC)
Tokyo - Bridgestone has unveiled its Battlax Sport Touring T30 series of motorcycle tires. The series will be marketed in 10 sizes for front use and 13 sizes for rear use. The T30 series was designed for use on medium- to-large size motorcycles and will feature new patterns and a new compound.
The tires are designed, says Bridgestone, for optimum roadholding, rigidity and lighter weight with enhanced dry grip and other handling characteristics.
The Battlax series is used in the FIM Road Racing World Championship MotoGP Class for which Bridgestone is an official supplier.
Japanese sales of the new tires will launch on 1 February 2013, with marketing to follow successively in the United States, Europe, Latin America, Asia, Oceania and other regions.
