Bekaert in major expansion of Russian site
Lipetsk, Russia - Bekaert Lipetsk (Russia) has recently launched a major expansion programme at its manufacturing plant in response to growing demand.
The expansion will see production capacity increase 50% at the plant and is set to be operational by mid-2018, said Bakaert.
The programme, which started in September, is intended to support growth in the tire industry within Russia and the wider CIS.
The Lipetsk plant opened in 2010 and produces steel cord for the tire industry and Dramix fibres for construction markets.
