ERJ staff report (LMH)
London – The market for a light vehicle suspension systems has been changing rapidly over the past few years as manufacturers develop ways to circumvent the compromise between comfort and safety that once limited performance, according to a new report by IHS.
’The Automotive Suspension Systems Report’ looks at advanced suspension systems, which it says are a key area in which vehicles can be differentiated from one another, and where OEMs look to “build the essential ‘DNA’ of a vehicle.”
The report looks at key market drivers in the sector and details materials considerations, increasing the qualification, challenges and barriers, chassis and suspension weight reduction and suspension performance.
It also examines suspension element technology, and dampers and shock absorbers. The report also provides detailed profiles and analysis of 13 key suppliers, IHS said.
The 120-page report is available from IHS, costing $1830.
