Singapore – Zeon Asia, part of Japanese speciality company Zeon Corp., has opened its ‘Asia technical support laboratory’ (ATSL) in Singapore to support markets in the region.
In a statement in Japanese on 6 Sept, Zeon said the new technical centre would offer technical support for specialised rubber in rapidly growing markets in ASEAN and India.
Set up in the Singapore science park, the Galen, the ATSL is Zeon’s fourth technical support base following Japan, Europe and China.
According to Zeon the lab will support technical developments and tests for automotive products in the region, where internal combustion engines are expected to remain mainstream and car production set to increase significantly.
The Japanese company’s speciality rubber materials are used in automotive parts, including timing belts, oil resistant hoses, oil seals and gaskets.
