Nizhnekamsk to supply synthetic rubber to Michelin
Clermont-Ferrand, France – Russian rubber and petrochemicals manufacturer PJSC Nizhnekamskneftekhim (Nizhnekamsk) is expanding its synthetic rubber supply to leading tire makers with a recently signed contract with French tire maker Michelin Group.
In a statement 22 June, the Tatarstan-based company said it had has signed a contract with the French tire manufacturer during a trip to Clermont-Ferrand, led by Vladimir Busygin, chairman of the board of directors and other senior officials of the company.
The company said it discussed its development strategy, including the supply of new brands of synthetic rubber in a meeting with senior Michelin officials.
Jean-Dominique Senard, president and CEO of Michelin took part in the meeting, accompanied by Jean Christophe Guerin, senior VP, Luc Muenge VP for global procurement and Laszlo Toth, VP, raw materials procurement.
PJSC Nizhnekamskneftekhim, part of TAIF Group, and claims to be one of the largest petrochemical companies in Europe and a leading producer of synthetic rubbers in the Russian Federation. Its main production facilities are located in the city of Nizhnekamsk, Republic of Tatarstan.
