CEAT's Goenka elected chairman of ATMA

New Delhi – Anant Goenka has been elected as chairman of the Automotive Tyre Manufacturers’ Association (ATMA) at the organisation’s recent annual general meeting. Rajeev Anand has been appointed vice-chairman.
Goenka, managing director of CEAT Ltd, is the youngest person to take charge of the tire industry body, according to a statement from ATMA. Anand has worked for over 31 years with Goodyear, holding a number of key positions with the company before taking over as managing director of Goodyear India.
ATMA represents the Indian automotive tire industry and includes ten large tyre companies, which represent over 90 percent of tire production in India. Members include Apollo Tyres, Bridgestone India, Continental India and JK Tyre & Industries.
