Tokyo – Kuraray has announced that it will raise the prices of some of its elastomer products in all regions as of 1 Feb.
The hike will affect all Septon, Hybrar and Tu-Polymer materials and will see a $0.25-per-kilogram rise in prices.
According to the Japanese supplier, rising feedstock prices during the course of 2016 increased the costs to produce the speciality high performance materials.
The company said it was necessary to recover a portion of the increases for security of supply and new product innovation.
