Colour-change polymer researcher earns PhD at Queen Mary’s

London – Hediyeh Zahabi has passed her PhD examination at the School of Engineering and Materials Science at Queen Mary University of London, the university has announced.
Zahabi’s project was on colour-changing electroactive polymer systems, and sponsored by ARTIS. Her supervisors have been Prof James Busfield, Federico Carpi and Kees Bastiaansen with support from Olivier Picot.
According to the 15 Nov announcement, Zahabi has discovered a way of stretching a rubber film that changes colour as it is stretched.
