Istanbul, Turkey – A composite technologies center of excellence, built jointly by tire cord producer Kordsa Global and Sabanci University has opened in Istanbul’s innovation hub, Teknopark,
The €30-million centre, which aims to create a technology hub through university-industry cooperation was opened on 29 Aug in the presence of Turkish prime minister Binali Y?ld?r?m.
According to a Kordsa press release the centre will operate in the field of high-technology composite materials, to service industries such as aviation and automotive.
Kordsa’s production engineers and Sabanc? University’s academic members and doctoral students will work working together in the R&D and production processes of the composite at the centre.
