Vipal Rubber starts retreading products JV in Europe
Nova Prata, Brazil – Vipal Rubber has recently formed a joint venture with Mezcla Caucho of Spain, which will see Vipal hot-tire retreading products manufactured in Europe for the first time.
The JV would focus on the production of non-vulcanised rubber strips, the first production line for the Brazilian brand outside Brazil, said an undated Vipal announcement.
Grupo Soledad company Mezcla Caucho manufactures rubber composites for retreaders and, said Vipal, will offer more efficient supply of short shelf-life products.
The Spanish company will produce non-vulcanised rubber strips from a facility in the city of Aspe in Alicante. Vipal Europe, based in Valencia, Spain, will be responsible for selling the local production.
“We have a very close relationship with Grupo Soledad and this opportunity reinforces the existing synergy, with the goal of offering the market high-quality products with the responsiveness required to meet our clients’ needs,” said Leandro Rigon, Vipal’s director of international business.
Vital Rubber parent company Borrachas Vipal S/A of Nova Prata, has been in the tire business since 1973. It claims to be one of the world´s leading manufacturers of tire retread and tire inner tube repair products.
