Amb?s, France – A strike against the possible closure of Orion Engineered Carbons’ production plant in France has ended, the company has announced.
Without giving further details of the length or dates of the strike, Orion said that the union representing the workers had reached an agreement to end the strike at the Amb?s, carbon black plant.
Product shipments have resumed and start-up of operations has recommenced, the company said.
Orion announced last month that it was in talks with the works council regarding the closure of the facility by the end of the year.
ERJ is in contact with Orion seeking more information about the industrial action and its impact on production.
