Hull, UK – UK-based Computype, which provides rubber- and belt-printing technology, has developed a thermal transfer print station that enables “high quality colour printing of films for the later identification of rubber products”, the company announced on 23 March.
TransMark Pro 100, said the company, will give the manufactures of rubber/belt products the option to print in a variety of colours, and a ribbon tension control which allows clear and consistent print of barcodes, numbers, and logos from batch start to end.
The thermal transfer print technology, said the company statement, offers speed and durability of print in harsh environments.
“We’re deeply embedded with our customers” said Simon Boddy, global product manager for Computype’s Tire and Rubber division
“The advancements in the TransMark Pro 100 offer flexibility, simplicity, and consistency,” he added.
Earlier this year, Computype announced the appointment of Mike Sanislo as vice president of its RFID systems operation.
The company said that Sanislo was “discovering how dynamic data management can increase value and streamline operations for tire and rubber customers.”
