Yokohama introduces upgraded HP tires
Tokyo — Yokohama Rubber Co. has announced a number of tire launches, including the latest addition to its flagship Advan tire brand, the “Advan Fleva V701.
The new sport tire will be available from July in 24 sizes, with 43 sizes ranging from 195/55R15 85V to 255/30R20 92W available in early 2017.
The “Advan Fleva V701” tire, said Yokohama, reinforces the Advan product line with a new concept focused on increasing drivers’ control of the car.
The new high-performance tire, it added, has “sporty” handling and has achieved an EU A grade for safety performance and wet grip up.
The new version, said Yokohama, has high cornering and stable handling as well as good grip performance in wet and dry conditions.
“The tread design is developed from the tarmac rally tire “Advan A051T” which has been using at many rallies in Europe,” the Japanese tire-maker added.
Another launch that was announced by Yokohama was that of the new addition to its series of “Geolandar” brand tires for SUVs.
The new “Geolandar A/T G015” will also be available in sizes ranging from 15 inches to 20 inches from July 2016.
The tire has the European three-peaks snowflake symbol and its LT size is designed for use in the harsh off-road conditions.
Yokohama said the tire has very high cut and chip resistance.
