Lessons from the past: One for the road
This picture was published around 100 years ago in ERJ archives, showing an object that could be an early “self-seal” idea for tires.
This product, described in a short entry on 24 April 1915 is a “self-contained apparatus for dealing with tire damages and breakdowns”.
The HF car vulcanisers were being used in hundreds to repair damage whilst the tires are in-situ, added the report.
