Liaoning, China – Goodyear is building facilities for the production of 2.08 million per year of sedan radial tires, including 480,000 units of run-flats, at its Dalian, Liaoning plant in China’s Pulandian Gulf industrial zone.
The facilities, including 46 new sets of machinery and 12 upgraded sets, will cover an area of 116,000 square metres.
This is the third phase in the development of the Dalian plant, with the capacity of the first two phases adding up to 10.5 million/year.
According to company announcements, the third phase, with $135 million (€123 million) of total investment, will be constructed in three years and is scheduled to start operation in November 2017.
