London, UK – The UK tire industry and various government agencies have agreed to work more closely together in order to reduce tire-related road casualties every year.
Speaking at a briefing on 7 Nov, Stuart Jackson, the chairman of Tyresafe, one of the UK’s leading tire safety organisations, said that the move came following a positive meeting hosted by the Parliamentary Advisory Council for Transport Safety (PACTS).
The meeting, which took place at the House of Commons on 5 Nov, was attended by various MP's and government agency representatives.
"It's clear that the tire industry has a shared vision about how we can work collaboratively to help reduce road casualties further and with further support from government, its agencies and other stakeholders, I'm confident we can continue to make a real difference," Jackson added.
