Goodyear recalls 1,600 truck tires

Washington – Goodyear has recalled 1,650 Goodyear G399A LHS medium truck tires, size 295/75R22.5 LRG, because of possible tread separation issues.

The tires were manufactured between 24 Jan and 28 May 2016, at Goodyear’s Danville, Virginia., plant, according to a safety defect report from the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA).

The tires are supplied as original equipment to Daimler Trucks North America Inc.’s Freightliner brand, Volvo Trucks NA, Paccar Inc. and Navistar International Corp., and also are sold in the replacement market, Goodyear told NHTSA.
