Cambodia’s rubber exports up 17 percent, revenues down 21 percent in 2012

Cambodia recorded a 17 percent rise in rubber latex exports in 2012, reports the Xinhua agency in Global Times.

However a decrease in export revenue of 21 percent was attributed in government statistics to declining rubber prices in the international market.

The country 54,530 tonnes of rubber latex last year, up 17 percent from 46,730 tons in a year earlier, said statistics from the Cambodia Import-Export Inspection and Fraud Repression Directorate General (Camcontrol), which regulates imports and exports in the Kingdom.
