EPA & BRC Rubber reach agreement on clean air violations

Chicago, Illinois – The US Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) Region 5 has reached an agreement with BRC Rubber and Plastics Inc. concerning alleged clean-air violations at BRC’s production plant at St. Montpelier, Indiana, the EPA said 19 May.

It was alleged that the BRC automotive parts and coating plant emitted excessive amounts of organic hazardous air pollutants in violation of federal regulations, and its state operating permit, the statement said.
