Teijin to split aramid fibre unit away from carbon fibres

Osaka, Japan — Teijin Limited is to reorganise its high performance fibres business group into two new groups named Aramid fibres Business Group and Carbon fibres Business Group, effective April 1, 2009. The reorganisation will increase Teijin’s business groups to eight.

Since reorganising under a holding company in 2003, Teijin has operated with seven groups responsible for polyester fibres, high-performance fibres, films, plastics, medical and pharmaceutical, fibre products marketing and IT business.
