Lymington, UK — Tape maker Scapa Group has cut 140 jobs because of the poor economy, and is considering closing a plant in France.
Besides slicing 11 percent of its workforce, it is discussing the future of a factory in Bellegarde, France, with employee representatives, Scapa said. The company said those talks, “could result in the closure of the site which currently employs 68 people.”
