Bridgestone to double conveyor belt capacity in Yokohama

Tokyo — Bridgestone Corp. is to double production capacity of steel-reinforced conveyor belts for use in mining operations. The expansion work will take place at Bridgestone’s Yokohama Plant, which already manufactures the product, with plans to begin production from 2011 and gradually increase production volume. Investment of around ¥5.0 billion (Euro 41 million) has been earmarked for the project.
