Lincoln, Nebraska-Goodyear will close a two-building warehouse and distribution centre in Lincoln, cutting about 160 jobs, and move the operation to an undisclosed location.
The new site gives the firm more space and will be operated by a logistics provider, a company spokesman said. The closing and move will improve customer service and accelerate product deliveries, according to Jim Pecorelli, director of global manufacturing for Goodyear Engineered Products, which operates the Lincoln facilities.
